Avalon Hill's Betrayal at the House on the Hill

Overview

Betrayal [At the House, On the Hill] is a tile-based cooperative tabletop game. Up to 6 players cooperatively explore "the house", drawing tiles to assemble the floor plan. Once a number of conditions are met, "The Haunt" begins and one of the players becomes "The Traitor", at odds with the remaining players, but assisted by the supernatural evils lurking in the House. There are a number of pre-staged haunts in the book, which are used at random, based on what conditions exist when the Haunt is triggered.

Errors

The included source-books (one for the Traitor and one for the Heroes) are terribly flawed, in some cases making haunts unplayable. Thankfully, Wizards has seen fit to provide PDFs of the Fixed rulebooks on their website.

Reactions

I suspect that my friend Jason really dislikes this game, due to its' insane complexity and steep learning curve. I find that it's perfect for a rules-lawyer like myself.
