Consulting

To make a long story short, I've done my fair share of consulting-like jobs over the years and, in light of recent events, I really believe that this is what I want to do with my life, eventually. I feel that I have skills to offer in a variety of technology-related areas including:

  • Computer Networking
  • Systems Integration Solutions
  • Workflow Optimization
  • Information Management
  • Website Design and Hosting

As mentioned above, I've had a variety of consulting or consulting-like jobs over the past 7 years:

  • 2000-2003 - Working for an ISP, doing networking, web hosting and general systems administration.
  • 2003 - Worked for a tech services firm doing on-site systems implementation and service.
  • 2004-2007 - Worked for a local financial institution as well as a local communications firm serving as a systems integrator and general internal consultant. In filling these responsibilities, I've coded web interfaces, reverse-engineered databases, assisted in process planning, writing manuals and a variety of other things.

I guess the short of this (and I'd not often get to put this on a resume) is that I am sort of a jack of all trades, and a master of none. What this means (I think) is that I know enough about how things get done to do almost anything. I think it's the whole "Teach a man to fish" sort of thing.

All that said, if you have any sort of tech-related project that you feel you need help with, please contact me; I'd be happy to have a look.
