Grinder Stand

The grinder stand is finally begun! With the donation of a 15" spare tire from Blake, I was able to begin fabricaton, welding a piece of 2" tube steel to the wheel. The most difficult part of this task was... lots of it. First, the tire did NOT want to come off. I ended up sawzalling (is that a word) through the bead, rim and all. No harm, really, as it doesnt need to be perfect. Secondly, while doing said sawing, I broke the blade retainer clip on the sawzall and had to break out the welder to repair that. Finally, while welding the upright, the wirefeed motor fuse on the welder gave out again... I had run at max wire speed a bit too long... I really need to find out what the spec on that fuse is suppose to be, and replace it with a self-resetting thermal.

In any case, here's the pic... I still need to build a "head" to bolt the grinder to, but this is a great start.
