Post:At the Old Ball Game
From Fusselman.org
Today was the Technology Services Home-run Derby. This all got started with Ron and Caleb talking trash at the office, about who could hit the most home runs, or the farthest or whatever. Bottom line (or balls past the fence): Caleb: 3, Ron: 0. Nuff said. Photos are here.
On the home-front, I finally got my new desk hauled upstairs. Seth stopped by after the Derby to help me carry the top, and ended up staying to help assemble it. Getting the bases lined up with the top was a bit tricky, and we also discovered that the top itself isn't entirely square (oops...) Anyhow, time to start moving in. More photos to follow.
Also today, Sprint finally got around to denying my request for further consideration related to my troubled HTC Touch Pro (though they would have been happy to send me another refub'd TouchPro that would probably also suck). On the upside, NFM had the Samsung Moment on sale for $50. I was a bit hesitant about the Android thing, but it's alright so far. A bit lacking in some customization areas (no vibrate-then-ring setting, can't seem to set vibrate for text messages and ring for calls, etc) but I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner than later. A more complete review is coming soon.
Speaking of reviews (or time to actually do them), I canceled my two Anarchy Online subscriptions last week. Not really for the $10/month (though that will pay for my new D&D Insider subscription). In theory, this means that there's no "real" draw whatsoever to waste my evenings sitting around on Rubi-Ka... Watch this space!
