Post:The Colony

So the other day, Seth was telling me about this show called The Colony that he'd seen on Discovery. Basically it's the old Junkyard Wars (Scrapheap Challenge) model, but with the project being "Survive": Scavange food, make fire, make power, repair clothes, etc. Overall, it's pretty slick. There were a few moments where it exhibited the usual reality TV problems (product placement, excessive staging, silly rules, etc) and occasionally the people are really annoying, but lots of fun overall. There were a few technical WTF moments too, but... I suppose they're just people and you can't blame the show for people being annoying/stupid under pressure.

In either case, Becky had noticed it on TV one night, and had set the DVR to grab it for me. I'll be watching more of this...
