Today is recognized by some as “Pi Approximation Day“, so called for the European representation of the date (22/7) which evaluates to 3.142… People in the know recognize Pi Day on March 14th, but any opportunity to celebrate math is worth it in my book. Don’t just stand around, get out there and do something mathematical today, even if it’s just having a slice of Pi(e).  Remember: Pi r round, cake r square.
