Finally, some official word on the Photon regarding Android 4 (ICS). Looks like I'm in luck, but will have to wait a while.
Motorola has laid bare the Android 4 upgrade plans for all of its recent phones, and many devices won't get the upgrade until the third quarter of this year. Some, like the Motorola Xoom and the international version of the Motorola Droid Razr, will get the upgrades in the second quarter, and some phones under two years old may languish with Android 2.3 Gingerbread or 2.2 Froyo.

If you’re looking for a cheap fill light for your video work, check out YouTube member DTapeProductions DIY light panel using stick-on 12V LED light strips. It’s not going to be daylight temperature or color corrected, but it’ll throw some accent light where you’ll need it for cheap. In the video they say you’ll have to solder the strips together, but if you’d like to save some time, you’ll find that there are plenty of solderless connectors available online. [via cheesycam]
